- Prayer for our school and our students to thrive.
- Partnerships for our students to have community involvement and develop a heart for service.
- Funding for us to continue to meet our high standards and provide the best educational opportunities for our students.

NCHS is deeply grateful to everyone who participated in and supported the 2026 Gene Austin Memorial soup and Chili Supper on Saturday, January 16th. The soups were remarkably delicious, particularly on a cold winter evening. The ladies of Cornerstone Church are to be commended for their exceptional planning and hosting of the event. Over $3,000 was raised and donated to the operations fund at NCHS.
Our Chapel speaker, Brendan Schloss from Countryside Church in Kirksville, presented a message today drawn from James Chapter 3, verses 1-12. James advises us to acknowledge the substantial impact of our words, stressing their capacity to either uplift or undermine. Brendan encouraged our students to embody Jesus' spirit in their relationships with others. We appreciate Brendan's involvement in Chapel today and his continued mentorship of our students. In recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr., school will be closed on Monday, January 19.
